The Mattawa man accused of murdering his neighbor Thursday is now facing a first degree murder charge.
Grant County Sheriff’s PIO Kyle Foreman said video shows 56-year-old Juan Manuel Silva Murillo hopping over a fence and approaching 54-year-old Antonio Quiterio Magallon before shooting him over 16 times, reloading at least twice.
“To see what happened on video is gruesome and very, very shocking,” stated Foreman.
Murillo later surrendered.
The dispute was purported to be over property and cattle. Murillo is being held in the Grant County Jail on $5 million bail.
