FIRST PITCH SCHEDULED FOR 8:15 P.M.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The start of Saturday’s 7:10 p.m. game between the Indians and Tigers has been delayed by the threat of rain.
Indians right-hander Eli Morgan (1-3, 6.75) is scheduled to start against Detroit’s Tyler Alexander (1-1, 4.77). The grounds crew pulled the tarp on the field about 45 minutes before game time.
The Indians are coming off a 6-1 win over the Tigers on Friday night. Cal Quantrill pitched seven scoreless innings, striking out 10, for the win. He allowed four hits and didn’t walk a batter. The Indians are 9-5 against the Tigers this season.
On offense, the Indians finished with 13 hits against the Tigers. New center fielder Myles Straw led the way with three hits.
Friday’s win ended a three-game losing streak for the Indians. They are 53-54 for the season.
