CONCORD — BART has stopped service between two East Bay stations after a trackway fire, authorities said Wednesday night.
BART officials began tweeting about the incident just before 7:15 p.m., and stopped service between the Concord and Pleasant Hill stations on its Antioch line in the Antioch and San Francisco International Airport station directions.
A few minutes earlier, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters were reportedly responding to a fire at Crawford and Mesa streets, about a quarter-mile south of the Concord BART station.
There were no immediately reported injuries, and a cause of the fire was not immediately available.
Mutual-aid service is available via County Connection’s Nos. 11, 14 and 15 buses between both stations.
