UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State's School of Public Policy will host a series of webinar presentations about the Master of Public Policy (MPP) program. Sessions will be offered throughout the spring semester.
During each event, Kaitlyn Reber, MPP class of 2021, will answer questions from participants and discuss why she is pursuing her degree in public policy at Penn State. Stephen Moczydlowski, enrollment and advising manager for the school, will provide an overview of the program during each webinar.
The presentations will focus on the curriculum, the application process, options for Penn State undergraduates, life at Penn State, and program requirements. Catherine Baumgardner, director of professional development and student engagement, will discuss leadership programs, careers in public policy, and graduates' earning potential.
The live sessions will last 60 minutes and include time for questions from attendees. The webinar schedule is:
- Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 3 p.m.
- Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m.
- Thursday, Mar. 4, at noon
- Thursday, Apr. 8, at 1 p.m.
The MPP program, established in 2018, is open to students from any major interested in public policy advocacy. The program's first cohort includes students with various undergraduate degrees, including journalism, anthropology, history, criminology, political science, and sociology.
