INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is starting an $8.4 million asphalt resurfacing project this week on U.S. 31 in Bartholomew and Johnson Counties.
The work is scheduled to begin today, Monday, June 15, and includes the area on U.S. 31 from just south of Interstate 65 in Taylorsville to State Road 252 in Amity.
Crews will be saw-cutting, and then patching, milling, and paving will take place. During construction, which should be completed this fall, there will be lane closures.
INDOT says motorists should slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free through the work zone.
