About the Aviation Degree Program

Soar to new heights with an aviation degree from UNK, one of the most affordable collegiate aviation programs in the country. The program includes a core grouping of aviation, technical and business courses, as well as your choice of two emphasis areas: Flight Operations for students interested in piloting, and Support Services for those interested in careers on the ground.
In the Flight Operations emphasis, you'll be prepared for a career as a commercial pilot. After completing the degree requirements for the Flight Training program, you'll have the opportunity to earn your private pilot’s license, as well as be prepared for the instrument, commercial, multi-engine and flight instructor certificates and ratings.
In the Aviation Support Services emphasis, you'll be provided all the preparation necessary to be a manager in the aviation industry. Graduates have found themselves working as air traffic controllers, airport managers and aviation insurance representatives.
