This weekend will bring more triple-digit heat to Dallas-Fort Worth, following the first week of 100-degree summer days in North Texas.
Highs will be 100 on Friday, 101 on Saturday and 102 on Sunday, according to KXAS-TV (NBC5)’s forecast. Dallas-Fort Worth has a heat advisory in effect Friday — the fourth one since Sunday.
The heat index, which takes into account humidity, could surpass 105 in some parts of the region this weekend.
But Dallas-Fort Worth will have chances of thunderstorms Sunday, with a cold front moving in and potentially bringing brief reprieve from the heat.
NBC5 puts the high for Monday at 92 and chances for storms at 40%.
Here’s what the forecast says:
Friday: 100/81
Saturday: 101/81
Sunday: 102/79
Monday: 92/74
