A new partnership between IUP and Point Park University will open the door for Point Park graduates to earn a master’s degree in human resources.
Under the agreement, Point Park students who graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management to apply for early admission to IUP’s M.A. in Human Resources and Employee relations program, cutting the time for grad school from the normal six years to five.
The early admission will allow students to begin taking grad school courses before they’ve completed their bachelor’s degree studies, with the course credit applying to both the bachelor’s and master’s degrees. They can take up to twelve grad school credits at Point Park and the other 24 credits at IUP, completing their master’s in one year instead of two.
David Piper, the chair of IUP’s Department of Employment and Labor Relations, says that the partnership will help him connect with the Point Park students during their senior years of undergraduate studies.
