The go-to dish you just haven't met yet.

There’s nothing like listening to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, or Tony Bennett when you’re cooking. The jazzy music is the perfect background for making a big pot of your favorite comfort food. And, don’t lie, they’re great tunes for dancing around the kitchen, too.

No one can replace the classics, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the honorary legend who graces our dinner jazz playlist: Michael Bublé. Sure, the Grammy Award-winning singer lives on repeat during the holiday season for his swingy renditions of our favorite Christmas tunes, but “Feeling Good” holds up with the best of the best.

But while grooving to your favorite artists in the kitchen, do you ever wonder what those stars are cooking up in their spare time? We certainly do. That’s why we’ve bookmarked the recipes for Johnny Cash’s chili, Dolly Parton’s casserole, and Liza Minnelli’s potato appetizer, so we can easily find them again later.

Michael Bublé's Favorite Comfort Meal

So, while we’re busy singing along to “Just Haven’t Met You Yet” or “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas,” what’s the Canadian singer cooking up for himself? It turns out the crooner's favorite comfort food comes from his Nonna’s cookbook.

Bublé says his grandmother’s red meat risotto recipe is one of his favorites. The one-pot, six-ingredient (if you don't count the pantry staples like butter and water) recipe makes an easy and mouthwatering dinner that you’ll want to enjoy in any season.

“My Nonna’s famous risotto is one of my favorite things to cook. I was really lucky to have a beautiful, close relationship with my grandparents, so honoring both of them through food and whiskey means a lot to me and helps keep their spirits alive. It brings back memories of some of our happiest times together,” Bublé told us in an exclusive statement.

While we’re all for pairing this meal with some crusty bread—and maybe a delightful fire and Bublé soundtrack—the singer opts for a whiskey cocktail (much like Sinatra, himself, would). Bublé pairs the red meat risotto with a honey whiskey sour made from his own Fraser & Thompon Whiskey, of course.

Whiskey, or not, the recipe is a must-make. Here’s the recipe, shared exclusively with Allrecipes.

Bailey Fink

Ingredients:

  • Butter (to line the pan)

  • 2 large white onions, chopped

  • 2 cups steak (chopped in tiny pieces — round steak is best)

  • 2-3 beef bouillon cubes

  • 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes

  • 750 grams arborio rice

  • Cups of water (it's kind of a measuring game)

  • Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions:

  1. Add onions to a stockpot with butter (or oil). Cook until translucent.

  2. Add steak and cook all together. It takes about 10 minutes.

  3. Add 2 to 3 beef bouillon cubes (to taste), it will depend how large of a batch you make. You may need more or less. When you cook the rice, you add a lot of water, so you may need to add more bouillon when cooking rice.

  4. Add the crushed tomatoes and rice. Add 1 cup hot water to rice and sauce and continually stir on low-medium heat. Once water is evaporated add another cup. Keep doing this until rice is cooked. It will take about 15 to 20 minutes. You must keep stirring or it will burn.

  5. Once cooked, add some Parmesan cheese and it's ready to serve!
