North Western Community College District (NWCCD) is adding Associate of Science in Health and Associate of Arts in Human Resources degrees to their list of online programs.
The two new online degrees will be offered to reflect information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projecting that between 2018 and 2028, healthcare occupations could grow by 14% while human services could increase by 13%, according to a July 16 release from the NWCCD.
The health degree will feature courses like medical terminology in health care, nutrition for health care, human anatomy and medical microbiology, while the human resources degree lends its focus to four key topics including social work preparation, addictions practitioner, public health and general human services.
NWCCD also offers additional interactive services throughout their online course offerings include online test proctoring, virtual faculty office hours, audio-visual strategies and online discussion groups, the release stated.
Seven online associate’s degrees and two certificate programs can now be completed online through NWCCD, including these two latest additions. Both of which will continue to be offered in person at Gillette or Sheridan colleges.
