Highlighting money managers' efforts to create a winning culture that positions their firms for ongoing success, Pensions & Investments is hosting a conference in New York to explore the best strategies for attracting and retaining workplace talent.
The Dec. 14 in-person and virtual conference will be held in conjunction with P&I's 10th annual Best Places to Work in Money Management program. Winners in the 2021 program will be revealed in the Dec. 13 issue of P&I, with profiles of the top firms and the strategies they employ to enhance culture during an unprecedented year of challenges posed by COVID-19.
Since its launch in 2012, which recognized 15 firms, the BPTW program and list of top employers grew to nearly 100 firms in 2020.
The conference, titled "The Future of Work," will bring together asset managers and thought leaders to examine strategies around best practices for recruitment and retention and the importance asset owners place on culture as well as diversity and inclusion practices when awarding mandates. A third panel will focus on firms that have made the list every year since the BPTW program started.
Additionally, a keynote by Vivienne Ming, a noted theoretical neuroscientist and artificial intelligence expert, will explore the science and value of assembling high-performing workplace teams. An awards presentation will conclude the event.
