With less than two weeks until Election Day, Donald Trump and Joe Biden are set to face off in the second and final presidential debate of the year.
Here are the details.
When: Thursday, Oct. 22, from 6-7:30 p.m. PT
Where: Belmont University in Nashville
Moderator: Kristen Welker of NBC News
Topics: Fighting COVID-19, American families, race in America, climate change, national security and leadership
How to watch: All of the major networks — ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and NBC — will air the debate commercial free, and many will also stream it online. C-SPAN and PBS will carry the debate, and NPR will also have coverage.
The pair last debated in Cleveland in late September, a matchup that featured Trump repeatedly interrupting the former vice president and moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News. The nonpartisan commission that oversees the debates said this week it would cut off the candidates’ microphones while their challenger is answering a question.A previously scheduled second debate was cancelled after Trump became ill with the coronavirus and declined to debate virtually. Vice President Mike Pence and Biden’s running mate, California Sen. Kamala Harris, debated once, in Utah earlier this month.
