Grapevine-Colleyville ISD’s fall enrollment window, which closed Monday, was split nearly in half between parents choosing remote and in-person learning options, according to the district.
The information came after the district’s board of trustees voted Friday to begin school entirely online Aug. 17.
Beginning Sept. 8, students will be able to transition to in-person classes if their parents have selected that option.
GCISD spokeswoman Kristin Snively said the enrollment numbers only slightly favor in-person classes.
According to the data, 56% of registered families selected in-person instruction and 44% selected remote learning.
The district will continue to release updates about the fall semester, COVID-19 safety protocols, and any further changes to the schedule online.
